We recieved an email from Jonathan with a link to a simple, but effective, guide to changing a bicycle tire. As Jonathan puts it:
Your bicycle-as-appliance campaign inspired me to make this 10-minute video. I got frustrated by the many videos of flat-tire fixes demonstrated by guys in tight shorts. I have now proven for all time that you can indeed fix a tire while wearing jeans and sandals.
Great stuff. Kind of like the Bicycle Repair book I bought in Montreal recently. It is important to expand the imagery of cycling in order to include regular people if we are to move towards normalising the bicycle.
