We share the bike lanes with other vehicles, too, here in Copenhagen. Pensioners - whether over 65 or those who are forced to retire early - are often given the chance to have an electric scooter to help them get around, if they aren’t able to ride a bike.
But many of our older citizens ride wherever possible. When they get a tad too insecure on a two-wheeler because of age, there are options available to keep them on the bike lanes.
